At Fresh Therapeutics we select out team based on their passion for healthcare and their competency at compounding. Not all pharmacists have the aptitude for this endeavour.
The Art of Compounding
Compounding involves combining scientific methods with the art of compounding. It is a bit like cooking. You can give different chefs the same recipe for a souffle – some have what it takes to make it light and appealing – the same with a compounded cream. It is important to get the texture, the feel and appearance of the product just right, as well as the accuracy of measurements. This is what we focus on at Fresh Therapeutics.
The Systems
At Fresh Therapeutics we invest in state of the art equipment and processes. We were one of the first compounding pharmacies to computerise our compounding laboratory which ensures that we have an electronic and hard copy record of the batch number and the exact weight of each ingredient used.
Each Fresh Therapeutics Pharmacy complies and has been assessed by the PCCA Compounding Standards Accreditation Program.
We are one of the first compounding pharmacies in Australia to achieve the PCCA tick of approval for meeting these rigorous standards.
The Support
Each Fresh Therapeutics Compounding Pharmacy is a member of Professional Compounding Chemists of Australia a supplier of compounding ingredients. Membership of PCCA also gives us access to over 8,000 formulations and technical support.
